Our vision of the world we want in 50 years!

Thinking about different types of love for St Valentines Day

Thinking about others at Harvest

At Monyash C of E Primary School, we have been thinking about Harvest and how we are so fortunate to have homes as well as food. We are grateful to the farmers and key workers who have worked hard to provide food for us and keep us safe. We have been thinking about those who have not been so fortunate during the pandemic and need to use the food banks to help feed their families. So our donations have been sent to Buxton Food bank to support those who need it the most.

We celebrated Harvest at church with Mr and Mrs Cullen and enjoyed singing the Harvest Samba with Makaton actions. KS1 gave us a fabulous rendition of Big Red Combine Harvester too.

New Outdoor Reflection Area

We have been busy creating our new reflection area, where we can THINK about the world, REFLECT on anything that is on our minds and TALK to God or each other about what is on our hearts.

This is also where we keep our furry friends Flopsy and Mopsy. We found that stroking and watching them play and burrow gives us a sense of mindfulness and peace.

From the KS2 trip to Bridlington, the children collected pebbles to paint and illustrate our school values for life.
