Can we touch the ends together with one eye closed?

In Science the children have been finding out about our eyes, what the different parts are called and what happens when we look at things. They carried out a simple test to discover that two eyes together work better than one eye on its own. They found out that the brain uses information that it gets from both of your eyes together to help you judge the distance between the cotton buds.
