Week beginning 18-5-20
This week we're going to recap the sounds ch, sh, th, ng and igh.
Watch this video and have a go at saying the sounds and reading the words.
Circle the word activity sheet
Word and Picture matching. There are lots of ways of using these cards. You could turn them over and find the pairs; say the word out aloud for your child to find (or splat with a fly swat/ kitchen flipper utensil), give a clue to the picture and then find the word.
Fun Phonics
We love to use chalks and water painting outside to write and trace over letters and words ( and numbers).
Writing letters/ drawing in dry sand or flour (if you have any!) in a tray or squirting shaving foam on the side of the bath to mark make are all fun ways of practising writing letters, it doesn't always have to be with a pencil and paper.
If you try any of these activities we would love to see your photos on the blog.
